Budget Websites UK (referred to as "we", "us", "our") provides website design and hosting services to sole traders and small businesses across the United Kingdom.
By purchasing our services, you (the "Customer") agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.
1. Definitions

2. Our Services
We provide ready-made website packages designed for sole traders.
Budget Package — £125 (one-off)

- ✓ Reliable hosting
- ✓ Mobile responsive design
- ✓ SEO optimisation
- ✓ Google Maps integration

- ✓ Image creation (where needed)
- ✓ 1 month free support
- ✓ No monthly or renewal fees
Premium Package — £195 (initial) + £125 (yearly renewal)
- ✓ All Budget Package features
- ✓ Your own domain (yourname.co.uk or yourname.uk)
- ✓ Full 5-page website (Home, About, Services, Gallery, Contact)
- ✓ Advanced SEO & Google Maps
- ✓ Priority support (ongoing)
- ✓ Alterations included (as part of support)
- ✓ Yearly renewal covers: domain renewal, hosting, maintenance, support
Email Add-on — £25 (one-off)
- ✓ Professional email address (info@yourdomain.uk)
- ✓ Email forwarding or hosting (basic)
3. Pricing & Payment
3.1 Payment Terms
- Deposit: 50% upfront — NON-REFUNDABLE (covers domain purchase, hosting setup, and work already started)
- Final Payment: 50% at completion
- Payment is due before we begin work
- We accept payment via bank transfer (details provided on invoice)
- All prices are in GBP (£) and include VAT where applicable
3.2 No Hidden Fees
- Budget Package: One-off payment, no renewal fees
- Premium Package: £125 yearly renewal (covers domain, hosting, maintenance, support)
- Alterations: £20 per change (Budget after 1 month / Premium after 6 months)
3.3 Refund Policy
- Deposit (50%): NON-REFUNDABLE — work starts immediately, domain and hosting are purchased
- Final Payment (50%): Refundable only if we fail to deliver as promised
- Refunds are only issued at our sole discretion
4. Domains & Hosting
Important: We register all domains in our name. We pay for domain registration, hosting, and renewal fees out of our own pocket. This is why our prices are so affordable.
4.1 Domain Ownership

4.2 Hosting
We provide and manage hosting for all websites as part of your package. We bear all hosting costs.
4.3 Premium Renewal
Premium Package customers pay £125 per year. This covers:
- Domain renewal fees
- Hosting costs
- Website maintenance
- Ongoing support
- Alterations (as needed)
4.4 If Premium Renewal Is Not Paid
- We will send a reminder 30 days before renewal is due
- If payment is not received within 30 days of the due date, the website will be taken offline
- The domain will be cancelled after 60 days of non-payment
5. Your Responsibilities
5.1 Content Delivery
- You must provide all content (text, images, logo, business information) upfront with your deposit
- If content is not provided within 30 days, we may delay your project or charge a £20 admin fee
- We are not responsible for delays caused by late content delivery
5.2 Accuracy
- You are responsible for ensuring all content you provide is accurate
- We are not liable for errors in content you supply
6. Intellectual Property
6.1 What We Own
- The domain name (we registered and paid for it)
- The website code, design, layout, and structure
- The hosting infrastructure
- Any images we create for your website
6.2 What You Own
- Your business name and brand identity
- Your logo, photos, and images you provide
- Your text content, customer reviews, and testimonials
6.3 What You're Buying
You are purchasing a lifetime license to use the website we build for your business. This includes:
- The right to display the website publicly
- The right to use the website for your business
- Lifetime hosting (Budget) or ongoing hosting (Premium with renewal)
6.4 If You Leave
- You may request your content (text, images, logo) — we will provide it free of charge
- You may request the website files (index.html) — we will provide it free of charge
- The domain remains our property (we registered and paid for it)
- We will take the website offline within 30 days of your cancellation request
7. Support & Alterations
7.1 Budget Package
- Support: 1 month free support included (minor changes, questions)
- Alterations: After 1 month, £20 per alteration
7.2 Premium Package
- Support: Ongoing support included (as part of yearly renewal)
- Alterations: Included in support — no extra charge
7.3 What Is an Alteration?
- Changing text (phone number, address, business hours, etc.)
- Updating photos/images
- Adding a small section
- Minor design tweaks
7.4 What is NOT an Alteration?
- Complete redesign (quoted separately)
- Adding multiple new pages (quoted separately)
- Major structural changes (quoted separately)
8. Portfolio Display
- We reserve the right to display screenshots of your website in our portfolio to showcase our work
- Your business name and content will be blurred or removed upon request
- You may opt out at any time by emailing us at maz@budget-websites.uk
9. Liability & Disclaimers
- We are not liable for website downtime or technical issues
- We are not liable for any lost business, revenue, or profits
- We do not guarantee 100% uptime — we provide hosting on a "best efforts" basis
- We do not guarantee Google rankings or SEO results
- We are not responsible for third-party services (e.g., domain registrars, hosting providers)
10. Cancellation
- You may cancel at any time by emailing us
- If you cancel, your website will be taken offline within 30 days
- Your content (text, images, logo) will be provided to you free of charge
- Website files (index.html) will be provided to you free of charge
- The domain remains our property
- No refunds are given for the initial deposit (50%)
11. Data Protection & GDPR

12. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
13. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Your continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of any changes.
